We are excited to be taking this development of six new-build houses, from the post-planning stage through to the final construction for a family-run developer celebrated for crafting homes rich in character and warmth.
The proposal centres on the creation of six new, highly sustainable homes designed with an inward orientation to protect privacy and foster a strong sense of community. The homes are constructed using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) and clad in timber, ensuring they blend seamlessly with the heavily wooded landscape which surrounds them. Elevated above ground level, the homes float over the sloping topography, enhancing their modern aesthetic while reducing their environmental impact.
Residents will access their homes via a raised boardwalk, designed for both pedestrian and cycle traffic, which preserves the site’s ecological balance and promotes a sustainable way of living. This boardwalk circles a central green space which is the heart of the development, creating a focal point that enhances the residents' experience of open, green areas. This communal space is designed with biodiverse native species planting, contributing to the ecological health of the area and reinforcing a strong sense of community. Through 107 Honor Oak, we are not only building homes but also cultivating a vibrant, sustainable community that celebrates both modernity and nature.
